One of the best kicks I get is writing with other people. When it really comes together you end up with a song that none of you would have created on your own. It's a special feeling to be in the room when it happens.

And when an artist you admire records their own version of a song you've written, that's the biggest compliment and the biggest thrill.

Co-writes with Tina Pluchino

The wonderful Tina Pluchino. Her eagerly awaited debut album is getting a great response, and I'm proud to have contributed to four of the tracks.

Moment by moment, Take me back, Dance with me and Honey, I got you.

Tina also covers my song By the river - and makes it completely her own. I get shivers every time I hear it.

Co-writes with David Harris

David Harris released an excellent debut CD, August Moon, which I absolutely love. I've played it a lot and it gets better with every listen. You can imagine how thrilled I am to have co-written four of the tracks on his follow-up, The Usual Suspects

And he's a truly fabulous performance of our song Borrowed time on his 'Hand Picked Tunes' album. Plus a great cover of By the river from my first album. Listen on Dave's site

But don't just listen to those, every song is a winner. Check out all his albums. (You can thank me later).

Co-write with Rob Harris

Rob Harris is one of the most inventive lyricists I know. His debut album, Blue Sky Morning, is a fine introduction to a genuinely distinctive writer.

Together with Francine Mitchell, who provides the lovely vocal, we wrote High on natural energy. You can hear a sample of it on Rob's website here:
