Jennifer is probably best known as Michael Jackson's guitarist, appearing on stage with him on three world tours. More recently she toured and recorded with one of my all-time guitar heroes, Jeff Beck.

At an after-show drink and chat I was delighted to learn that Jennifer is an even bigger Jeff Beck fan than I am. She was generous enough to demonstrate the fine points of some of his tremelo arm techniques, and shared great tips about her tapping approach. Not a style I normally use, but I've been practicing Jennifer, honest!

Sondar Records - news

When I released my first CD I also created Sondar Records. More than just a label for my own projects (Gary Carey and my alter ego Ryan Eyre) I always intended it to be a way of championing music I love. That's why I'm so thrilled that Fee and Westhouse are both coming on board.

The Voodoo Doll EP was a great Halloween treat from Ryan Eyre. Thanks to everyone who bought a copy, and heartfelt thanks for those of you who made an extra donation. I really appreciate your kindness

Coming in March next year: David Fee's excellent songs, and an instrumental album from Westhouse. We're looking to include some tasty extras as a thank you for everyone who buys direct from the Sondar Records site. 

This doesn't leave much time for my own album, so Ampersand has been rescheduled for March 2017. Gonna be a party!
